UEFA Euro 2020 fantasy football tips: The best Euros team you can pick with €100m

The Fantasy Football craze has swept the nation on the domestic front over the last few seasons, however supporters will be able to take part in a Euro 2020 version this summer: here’s how

Fantasy Football has been a craze which has grown exponentially over the last few years or so, and it’s here for Euro 2020, too.

To quench the appetite, fans can comprise a team made up of international stars for the feast of football that is set to be this summer’s European Championship.

So, without further adieu, here are the details on how you sign up, the rules and the best team you can pick within the budget.

What are the rules?

Fantasy players will have a total of €100m to spend on a total of 15 players. You must select 11 players to start and four players for your bench.

There are unlimited transfers until the Matchday 1 deadline, which is before kick-off of the first match at 8pm UK time on Friday, June 11 .

You are allowed to select a maximum of three players from each country for your squad, which comprises two goalkeepers, five defenders, five midfielders and three forwards.

In addition, each player is afforded a Wildcard, which gives you unlimited free transfers, as well as a Limitless Wildcard, which is unlimited free transfers with no budget restrictions.

Below are the key transfer window deadlines:

  • Matchday 1 : June 11, 8pm UK timeMatchday 2 : June 16, 2pm UK timeMatchday 3 : June 20, 5pm UK timeRound of 16 : June 26, 5pm UK timeQuarter-finals : July 2, 5pm UK timeSemi-finals : July 6, 8pm UK timeFinal : July 11, 8pm UK time

Each player is granted two free transfers each match day, but substitutions are allowed to be made during match days in order to make it a little more flexible. Importantly, you can also swap captains within match days, which could be crucial.

How do you score points?

The points-scoring system is as follows.

  • Goals (4 points for forwards, 5 for midfielders, 6 for defenders and goalkeepers)
  • Assists (3 points per player)
  • Clean sheets (4 points for goalkeepers and defenders)

Captains, of course, will receive double points for their contributions, emphasising the importance of that mid-matchday captain swap.

As a further point of explanation, if you change your captain mid-matchday, the player you took the armband from will go back to his regular points haul.
